SOFTWARE ENGINEER (1)

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• A Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline is advantageous.

Professional Experience:

• 5–8 years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proven experience in industrial software applications, such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, PLC integration, or factory automation software.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality in a manufacturing context.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in C#, .NET, Java, Python, or C/C++ depending on system architecture.
• Familiar with PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) – beneficial in factory automation settings.

Industry Knowledge:

• Understanding manufacturing processes, production line controls, and data-driven decision-making in factory operations.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in industrial software environments.
• Soft Skills and Leadership:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in real-time or mission-critical environments.
• Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical requirements into user-friendly applications.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience participating in or leading software validation, especially in regulated industries (e.g., ISO 13485 for medical devices, IATF 16949 for automotive).
• Ability to work on-site to support integration with production equipment and troubleshoot systems in live environments.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and participation in scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
